Our October campout was a great success. We had a fantastic day of canoeing on the Brazos River. We camped at Worth Scout Ranch near Graford. Two beautiful fall nights with moderate temps and clear skies. We spent most of Saturday on the river.
What did we learn?
When we are heading out, take the lunch pail! None of the Scouts noticed this innocent bucket sitting on the table. It contained all the lunches. We found a beautiful island in the middle of the river to jump off and take a break, only to come to the hard reality that only the adults had food with them. We made due, lessons were learned, and nobody starved! None of these Scouts will make that mistake again.
